Custom Bridge Fall Protection for Hopper Railcars
Problem: This Indiana Grain Processing facility needed a flexible fall protection system to protect workers as they opened and closed lids on Hopper Railcars.
Solution: The 300-foot length system needed to be supported from several different buildings and structural layouts. EFP engineers designed a continuous length bridge fall protection system to accommodate the unique structure, while accommodating the variety of work positions the users would be at while on the railcars. The unique system allowed for complete freedom of operator movement and eliminated the customer's concerns for swing falls. The result is a user friendly, versatile, and extremely safe fall protection system for the users.
